Part Time Centre Management Position
20-25 hours per week.
Competitive Salary based on experience.
The Centre Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the UK Shaolin Centre. This includes overseeing the centre's administrative functions, managing staff and volunteers, ensuring the smooth running of classes and events, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all members and visitors.
The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and passionate about fostering a positive community atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the centre, ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently. Manage the centre's schedule, including classes, workshops, and events. Coordinate with instructors, staff, and volunteers to ensure all roles are filled and duties are performed. Handle inquiries, bookings, and membership management, providing excellent customer service. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the centre, ensuring all facilities are in good working order. Assist in promoting the centre's activities through social media, newsletters, and local outreach. Develop and implement strategies to increase membership and community engagement. Manage the centre’s budget, including handling payments, invoicing, and financial reporting. Liaise with local community groups, businesses, and schools to build partnerships and expand the centre’s reach.
Requirements: Previous experience in a managerial or administrative role, preferably within a community or fitness centre. Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in using office software, including MS Office and scheduling tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Interest or experience in martial arts, mindfulness practices, or community-focused activities is highly desirable. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as required.
